Developing a Risk-Based and Effective Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP)

An effective EMP is more than a sampling plan—it was a critical risk management tool. This webinar focused on understanding the unique risks associated with the food, people, and processing environments, and how to translate that knowledge into a targeted, meaningful, and actionable EMP. Participants learned how to design and implement an EMP that drives decision making rather than simply meeting minimum requirements. Lastly, we looked at the common practices that contribute to EMP failures and shared practical strategies to strengthen program effectiveness and consumer protection.
